| Pagenaud wins - Doyle gets title |

|
Sean Graham had the biggest chance to rob the title from absent points leaser Tim Doyle. Andrew Aitken who already was 40 points behind was not fast enough to fight up to the lead pack. Additional to that he got up into the grey in turn 1 on lap 57 and hitted the wall. He also took out Martin Blais who had a very good race and a strong car until then.
But back to the fight for the title: Graham started from P7 and worked his way up to the lead in lap 8. From that point he was the man to beat with the fastest car on the track. So everything was right and he was on his way to become the first iamINDY.de champiopn. With the first round of green flag pit stops in lap 123 Graham came in too fast, went onto the green and spun. He dropped back from the lead to one and a half lap behind the leader into P4. Simon Pagenaud took the lead with Renato Barnett behind in the draft. From that point on Graham was not able to come back to his pace and to gain postions. P2 was the goal to still win the championship. But it didn't happen. Finishing in P4 and leading the most laps Graham is now 4 points behind Doyle.
So here we are: the first champion of the iamINDY.de series is Tim Doyle! Congratulations.
In the end of the first season I like to thank every driver who participated in here making this series possible. Thank you!
